Не запускается Apache на CentOS 7 — AH00015: Unable to open logs

Не стартует apache с ошибками:

# service httpd status

В логах apache можем наблюдать вот такое:

AH00015: Unable to open logs
AH00015: Unable to open logs
AH00015: Unable to open logs
AH00015: Unable to open logs
AH00015: Unable to open logs

AH00015: Unable to open logs

Данная ошибка означает что для запуска apache через systemd нехватает файловых дескрипторов, поэтому увеличиваем их командами:

# ulimit -n1000000
# mkdir -p /etc/systemd/system/httpd.service.d/
# echo -e "[Service]\nLimitNOFILE=1000000" >> /etc/systemd/system/httpd.service.d/nofile.conf
# systemctl daemon-reload
# systemctl restart httpd.service
